Southern - Thom started solo in early 2008 and later formed a duo with his younger sister, Lucy. In 2008 Thom won the "Busker of the Year" competition. During the "Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival '09", Thom was given the "Katherine Brick Award" for young songwriter of the year.
