Heroes in Hiding are a 7-piece alternative funk band based in Dublin. The band has been together for just over 3 years and has just released their debut EP "Lies" this January 2010.
Gigging as much as possible is high on the bands list of priorities. Known for their energetic live shows, the band saw fit to hit the recording studio during June/July of 2009. The 3 track EP shows off all the band’s assets from catchy guitar riffs, jazzy sax solos and classical violin melodies.
When it comes to venues the band are no strangers to the big ones or the big crowds, in fact they seem more suited to the larger venues. Over their short time together the band has played such venues as The Ambassador, Vicar Street, The R.D.S, The Academy and the Button Factory not to mention their own sell out show in Whelan’s. They have also shared the stage with some big names like The Republic of Loose, Concerto for Constantine, Codes, Jaded Sun and Fight With Wire.
